March 2022 MCSO Advisory Council Spring Membership Meeting

The MCSO Advisory Council spring meeting was held at various MCSO facilities located off of 35^th Avenue near the MCSO training center.  The MCSO helicopter made a landing at the training center, where members were able to get an up close look at this state of the art aircraft.  Members were transported from the training center to the SWAT bard using the agency’s bearcat armored vehicles.  In the SWAT barn, there was an impressive display of weapons from the SWAT team, equipment displays from the explosive ordinance disposal (EOD) unit, and several K9 units giving demonstrations.   A catered meal was shared, along with remarks from Sheriff Penzone and MCSO Advisory Council board members.   This was a unique opportunity for our members to experience the inner workings of some of MCSO’s elite units and we are thankful for the MCSO support.
